Kyrgyzstan scolded Turkey which is continuing mass cleanings after failed coup and turned its gaze in the former Soviet republic where the education is sponsored by Hizmet movement ideologist Fethullah Gulen, Reuters reported.

Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry issued a statement after several mass media quoted Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu who criticized Bishkek for cooperation with Gulen.

In Kyrgyzstan with a population of six million, Gulen is sponsoring 15 Turkish Sebat lyceums and the University of Ataturk.

MFA stated that they consider it at least “incorrect” when the ministry of foreign affairs of any country points to another state the need to take certain actions, at the same time using a language of ultimatums and blackmail. They also noted that Kyrgyzstan, first of all, is an independent, sovereign state, which is able to decide what is good and bad for them.
