YEREVAN. – Two candidates have been nominated to run in the mayoral election in Vedi town of Armenia, on September 18.

The incumbent mayor, who was nominated by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, and the independent serving deputy mayor will compete with one another in this community, according to the Central Electoral Commission website.

Local government elections are slated for September 18 in several towns and villages in Armenia.
