YEREVAN. - The march in support of the Sasna Tsrer armed groupm which had taken over Erebuni police station for 15 days, has kicked off. The march participants have headed for the Ministry of Justice and then the Prisoners’ Hospital.

The protestors demand to provide proper medical assistance to the wounded members of Sasna Tsrer, who are currently in the hospital, Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent reports.

According to Hayarpi Sargsyan, the attorney of the group member Hovhannes Harutyunyan, her client cannot move his leg for several days, but he isn’t provided proper medical assistance. The attorney visits Hovhannes Harutyunyan every day, since she has the right to do so. “Hovhannes hasn’t been operated on since his arrest; only shrapnel was removed. I saw what pains he had. He wasn’t provided proper medical assistance: this is indicative of premeditated steps.  When just taken to Prisoners’ Hospital, Hovhannes was in terrible sanitary conditions. He wasn’t given painkillers for several hours,” Hayarpi Sargsyan stressed.

The attorney of Sansa Tsrer group members Pavlik and Aram Manukyan earlier announced that the paramedics of Erebouni Medical Center will no longer carry out round-the-clock duty in the Prisoners’ Hospital, which is a violation of her clients’ rights.
