The French Minister  of Economy, Industry and Digital Technology Emmanuel Macron has resigned, reports the DW. As the source reports, he made the statement about his resignation in front of his  employees. According to the AFP, later he had submitted his resignation to the President Francois Hollande, who passed his functions to the Minister of Finance Michel Sapin.

In the recent months the French media have been reporting about the possible resignation of 38-year-old minister, who often did not join the statements made by the President and the Prime Minister Manuel Valls. In April of 2016, Macron created his own political movement, which, in his own words, belongs "neither to the rightists, nor to the leftists." Recently there have been circulating rumors in the media about the possibility of Macron’s participation in 2017 presidential elections. However, the politician has not expressed a desire to run his candidacy, when he held his office.
