The trilateral talks between the Russian and French Presidents, as well as the Chancellor of Germany, which were to be held on the sidelines of upcoming G20 Summit in China, will not take place. Instead, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold separate meetings with François Hollande and Angela Merkel, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov announced on Tuesday, Interfax reports.

The latter also ascertained that a trilateral meeting was originally planned, during which the leaders were to discuss the “current situation in Ukraine, further cooperation in the framework of the Normandy format and Minsk process.” However, later Paris and Berlin proposed to hold two bilateral meetings according to the schedule.
