STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire along the line of contact between the Karabakh and Azerbaijani opposing forces 30 times, from late Friday night to early Saturday morning.

During this time the Azerbaijani armed forces fired more than 600 shots toward the Armenian position-holders, and by way of rifle weaponry, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Defense Army informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

But as a result of the adversary’s breach of the truce, military serviceman Arayik Ordubekyan (born in 1997) sustained a fatal gunshot wound, on Friday at around 11:30pm, at the protection area of an NKR Defense Army unit which is stationed in a southerly direction.

An investigation is underway to find out the details of this incident.

The NKR Ministry of Defense stated that the Azerbaijani side will bear full accountability for its aggressive actions and their consequences.
