YEREVAN. – I would never say that Azerbaijan is more important to us than Armenia.

Maia Panjikidze, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, stated the aforesaid before the start of the international conference, entitled “Upcoming Challenges: NATO, from Wales to Warsaw and Beyond,” which kicked off Monday in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

Reflecting on Armenian-Georgian relations, Panjikidze noted: “Azerbaijan and Armenia are our neighbors. We always have had very good relations with Armenia, and we don’t have any problems in the political plan. But, sadly, [our] economic relations with Armenia are not as developed as the political [ones]. So, I see very great potential for the development of Armenian-Georgian economic relations.”

The Georgian ex-FM added that her country’s Association Agreement with the European Union also will contribute to the development of relations with Armenia.
