YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Monday visited the Prosecutor General’s Office, and introduced newly elected Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan to the senior officials of this office.

First, Sargsyan thanked preceding attorney general Gevorg Kostanyan for his efforts, the Press Office of the President informed Armeian News-NEWS.am. He noted that during this time some progress has been made in Armenia, including in the prosecutorial system.

Subsequently, the President wished success to the new attorney general and the staff of the Prosecutor General’s Office, in further intensifying their activities. 

Serzh Sargsyan stressed that Davtyan possesses the necessary knowledge, know-how, and will to achieve new success, with assistance by his staff. 

Artur Davtyan, for his part, assured that the attorney general’s office will do everything to find more effective ways of addressing the challenges facing Armenia, and meet all expectations.
