YEREVAN. – The oil minister of Iran will visit Armenia in a not-too-distant future, Iranian Ambassador Seyed Kazzem Sajjadi told reporters, on Tuesday.

He noted this when asked whether exporting Iranian natural gas to Georgia via Armenia is on the agenda of the energy departments of Iran.

Sajjadi stated that Iran-Armenia cooperation will be discussed during the visit to Armenia by Bijan Namdar Zangeneh, the Minister of Petroleum of Iran.

The Iranian diplomat added that the matters related to Armenia are at the focus of his country.

“I believe the issues that are favorable to Armenia will become a subject for talks of the senior officials of the two countries,” concluded Seyed Kazzem Sajjadi.
