French and Finn scientists have conducted joint research to find out how visual communication affects relationship between people, reports the Psychological Science. 

Experts said that there arises an emotional connection as a result of visual contact, which affects the development of further relationship. The scientists point out that even babies can "read" emotions in the eyes of adults. As the experts say, eye to eye contact during an interview can change the frequency of heartbeat and breathing. A person subconsciously conveys his his emotional state through the visual contact. 

The researchers note that the most vivid emotions are transmitted through a direct look. A direct gaze of a foreigner attracts attention immediately. At the same time a person is able to analyze the information that is sent through the look. The study also revealed that people can perceive emotions transmitted through the look even on the photo.
