An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 occurred in the Pacific Ocean near the eastern coast of Japan, Interfax reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake recorded at 03:14 had the coordinate of 34.85 degrees of northern latitude and 141.46 degrees of east longitude and was 146 km to the East from the Japanese city of Tateyama.

According to the intensity of tremors in the epicenter, the earthquake is estimated as “destructive”.
