Deputy Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms, Suren Karayan, said the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am in response to the request to comment on the rumors on his appointment to the post of the Economy Minister.

"I am a government official. Decisions on where I should work are made by the political authorities. I will work where according to them I can be more useful to the country,” Karayan said.

Rumors on the resignation of the acting Economy Minister Artsvik Minasyan and his replacement by Suren Karayan have been circulating recently. At the press-conference on Friday, Minasyan gave no specific response, stating that he has no ambitions to preserve the seat at any cost.
