YEREVAN. - The interagency group of preserving caves in Armenia will make proposals on attracting tourists.

Head of the Tourism Department of Economy Ministry of Armenia, Mekhak Apresyan, said the aforementioned to journalists on Friday.

In his words, the commission which is composed of the representatives of the ministries of economy, culture and emergency situations will pick out the caves which tourists can enter after fortifying the walls. Thereafter rules of visiting them will be drawn out. On the basis of those rules, the investors will be proposed to carry out tours, observing the security requirements for tourists and protection of caves from vandalism.

The list will include cave Areni-1 (which became famous after the remnants of 55000 thousand year-old leather shoe were found there), Mozrov cave, complex of caves in Dzorap village and others.
