YEREVAN. – The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia has prevented several attempts of violation of customs regulations at the Bagratashen and Bavra customs checkpoints, on the border with Georgia, and the Meghri checkpoint, on the border with Iran.
In particular, the SRC officers discovered about 1.5 tons of tomatoes of Turkish and Georgian origin, at the Bagratashen checkpoint. So as not to declare these products, smugglers had hid them in the special secret compartments of several trucks.
The SRC officers also prevented the attempts to illegally import about 600 kg of laundry cleaning products, and 200 liters of motor oil into Armenia.
The SRC detected a number of other undeclared goods, too.
