STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), Bako Sahakyan, signed a decree on Sunday.
Accordingly, NKR Defense Army division serviceman Sevak Khachatryan has been posthumously awarded with the Medal for Service in Battle, and in recognition of his bravery during the defense of the Artsakh state border, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Military serviceman Sevak Khachatryan, 19, sustained a fatal gunshot wound, on Sunday at around 10:40am, at the military position of an NKR Defense Army unit which is stationed in a southerly direction, and as a result of a bullet fired by the adversary—i. e. the Azerbaijani armed forces.
