YEREVAN. – The 20-day period, during which the Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan-led cabinet of the Government of the Republic of Armenia (RA) shall be completely formed, will come to an end in about a week, according to Zhoghovurd newspaper.

“The most important topic in the discussions over the new government is the matter of the RA Minister of Defense.

“Yesterday [i.e. Monday], [President] Serzh Sargsyan invited [acting Defense Minister] Seyran Ohanyan to the RA President’s residence, to talk about the future [of Ohanyan].

“According to well-informed sources of Zhoghovurd daily, as a result of the nearly two-hour meeting of the two officials, it was decided that Seyran Ohanyan will no longer be reappointed to the post of RA Minister of Defense.

“[But] Zhoghovurd could not yet find out what Seyran Ohanyan will be engaged in [after his removal from office],” wrote the newspaper.
