YEREVAN. – The Armenian Legal Center (ALC) for Justice and Human Rights has been established.

The center, which officially opened on Wednesday, will endeavor to restore, by way of national and international institutions, the rights that were violated as a result of Armenian Genocide.

At the press conference on the occasion of the establishment of ALC, Center Board Chairman Kenneth “Ken” Khachigian said ALC will coordinate the claims of human rights violations, find the potential claimants, investigate these violations, and collect the needed evidence. 

Khachigian added that the center will also be engaged in the matters of collective property that was confiscated during the genocide.

The ALC headquarters will be in Washington D.C.

Its board members are from Armenia, and the Armenian-Diaspora communities.
