YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said it is necessary to examine the effectiveness of the work of the State Service for Food Safety.
He noted that this issue had been raised at his recent meeting with NGO representatives on consumer protection and businessmen. In this regard, the PM instructed the Minister of Agriculture Minister of Agriculture Ignatiy Arakelyan to examine this issue.
“In particular, I ask to determine whether the testing laboratory must be a part of the department or it should be independent,” Karapetyan explained.
