YEREVAN. - Armenian Premier Karen Karapetyan on Friday received the representatives of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) and the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies.

The representatives of the unions briefed the Premier on the current programs and tasks of the sector, coming up with proposals on holding new training courses in schools and universities, as well as establishing school engineering clubs and a technological university.

Karapetyan especially underscored the importance of accessibility to education in the regions. He urged the IT professionals to present their proposals to the agencies concerned and instructed the ministers in charge to actively cooperate with them.
