YEREVAN. – There are very few Aleppo Armenians that wish to move to Armenia, Minister of Diaspora Hransh Hakobyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“These days Aleppo Armenians move either from one district to a relatively safer district [in Aleppo] or to coastal towns,” said Hakobyan. “We [i.e. Armenia] are ready to assist the Armenians who decide to come to Armenia.
“At this moment, there are very few [Aleppo] Armenians who have expressed a wish to move to Armenia; we are currently dealing with this matter.”
In the minister’s words, they are also sending humanitarian aid to Syria.
