YEREVAN. – Conditions are created for Syrian Armenians arriving in Armenia, so they can open their own business in the country.

Nune Grigoryan, Head of Information and Dissemination Department at the Armenian Red Cross Society, stated about the aforesaid at a press conference on Tuesday.

In her words, all Syrian Armenians arriving in Armenia are registered at the Armenian Red Cross Society.

She noted that, considering the wishes of these Syrian Armenians, a component of economic self-employment has been added to the support programs for them.

“That is, conditions are created for Syrian Armenians, so that they can start their own business [in Armenia], and not be dependent on anyone,” added Grigoryan. “Business consulting is also provided to them.”
