YEREVAN. – We have started the reforms a long time ago, we have passed quite arduous and difficult phases, and now we are on the threshold of implementing new-quality reforms.

President of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Galust Sahakyan, on Friday noted the above-said in his special address during the NA debates on the new government program.

“Facing the most diverse challenges for a long time, our republic needs continued and targeted reforms,” Sahakyan also stated. “The government’s activity program, I believe, is a document that is created based on a realistic basis, it assumes clear actions, and expects concrete results.

“The new government of Armenia has taken on its mission under difficult geopolitical conditions, and at the most accountable phase of transition to a parliamentary system of governance.

“I also highly assess the ideology, which is put on the basis of the program, [and] aimed at increasing the efficiency of governance.”
