YEREVAN. - In five years the losses of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) shouldn’t exceed 9 percent.

Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia, Robert Nazaryan, stated the aforementioned in the parliament Thursday, speaking at the discussion on PSRC’s activity in 2017.

Currently, the losses of ENA amount to 11 percent.

“We have decided to give them five years. But if they start reducing losses earlier, we won’t deduct from their income. Otherwise, they will say: “We are reducing the losses, and you are immediately tightening the normative standards.” But we want them to have incentives to contribute to the reduction of losses. Let them thus get more income for this,” Nazaryan said.

In his words, the Commission will similarly not reduce the share of ENA salary fund expenses in the electricity tariff, he added.
