Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan delivered a speech at the General Assembly of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions in Zagreb.
In his speech, he underscored the importance of attracting Nagorno-Karabakh law enforcement authorities in international-level meetings.
Tatoyan recalled that regardless of the political status of the territory, Artsakh should take part in all discussions related to issues of human rights defense.
During the plenary session, Tatoyan came up with proposals on this issue, which will be discussed in the framework of the organization’s strategic program for 2017-19.
After Tatoyan’s speech, an Azerbaijani representative came up with political accusations in violation of the regulation, receiving remarks from the host.
