After spending three years at an animal shelter, Britain’s ‘loneliest’ dog has finally found a home, Lenta reports, citing Metro.
The seven-year-old greyhound-collie cross lived at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home since November 2013.
According to the newspaper, animals normally stay there for about 36 days, but Bud was kept there for three years.
The dog was owned by Ian Corns, from Dudley. Ian came across Bud after seeing him on Paul O’Grady’s ITV show dedicated to homeless dogs. The man immediately phoned the center to take the pet.
According to a center worker, since Bud arrived at Battersea the charity has re-homed more than 5,500 dogs.
