A 12-hour telethon organized by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund ended. The fund collected U.S. $20.862.733.

The telethon,  “Water is life”, was broadcasted from Los Angeles by H1, Armenia, Shant and Yerkir Media TV, as well as local Los Angeles Armenian channels.

Proceeds from the telethon will benefit the development of modern drinking and irrigation water systems in Nagorno-Karabakh’s 200 villages.

As NEWS.am reported previously, at the annual gala night of the All-Armenian Hayastan Fund held in Moscow Armenian businessmen of Russia promised to allocate $8 m. Pan-European Phoneathon was also held in France on November 18-21.  France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Greece have participated in the fund-raising event, collecting about €1, 300,000.
