Armenia intends to create a free trade zone that will become a basis for development of Russian business in the country, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said at the meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladmir Putin.

According to him, creation of attractive conditions for Russian business is one of the priorities of the Armenian Government, PRIME TASS reported. Free trade zone is planned to be created on the basis of Mars factory. The relevant bill has been prepared and will be considered in the parliament in the first quarter of 2011. “We hope this project will create a platform for Russian business in Armenia,” Sargsyan noted.

Armenian Premier expressed hope that next year will give a new impetus to development of Armenian-Russian relations.
