On Dec. 22, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Abdullah Gul met in Istanbul, Anadolu reportes.

The meeting was held behind closed doors.

Ilham Aliyev arrived in Istanbul to attend the Summit of Heads of State and Government Summit of Economic Cooperation Organization which is scheduled on December 23.
