Settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity…

Azerbaijan hopes for the international community’s consistent and firm position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict – a position that would facilitate the establishment of ensuring peace, stability and mutual confidence in the region and force Armenia to start working at a final peace treaty based on the principles proposed by the OSCE Minsk Group, says a report released by the press center of the Azerbaijani foreign office.

According to the report, with RF President Dmitry Medvedev’s participation, Armenian-Azerbaijani-Russian presidential meetings were held - in Sochi on January 25, 2010, in Saint Petersburg on June 17, 2010, and in Astrakhan on October 27, 2010. At the last meeting the sides approved a joint statement on the return of POWs and the bodies of the victims of military incidents.

The priority issue on Azerbaijan’s foreign policy agenda for 2011 is mobilizing all the forces to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity; good-neighborly relations in the Caspian region; confidence and development of partnership, etc..
