Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian held a meeting Jan. 22 with a Georgian delegation led by Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze.

The press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed NEWS.am that the sides held a detailed discussion of a wide range of issues of Armenian-Georgian relations, the agenda of the Armenian-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission`s next meeting, expansion of basis for agreements, trade and economic cooperation, implementation of joint programs.

Ministers Nalbandian and Vashadze exchanged views on regional problems. They expressed the confidence that the existing problems must be resolved in a peaceful way.

The sides also discussed bilateral cooperation within international agencies. The sides also held a traditional discussion of issues arousing Georgian Armenians` concern.
