Decision of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to resume work of the sub-committee on Karabakh is a failure of the Armenian diplomacy, said Hrayr Karapetyan, member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun.

According to him, sub-committee’s work will hinder activities of the OSCE Minsk Group, as PACE’s chairman Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turk by the origin, will lobby for pro-Azerbaijani documents.  “The reason is the Armenian side failed to suppress anti-Armenian actions of Cavusoglu. The Armenian foreign ministry has not responded adequately to Cavusoglu’s anti-Armenian statements and not visiting the Genocide memorial in Yerevan,” he said. The MP considers the Armenian delegation to the PACE should boycott sub-committee’s work.
