Azerbaijani and Georgian experts have completed works on demarcation of the border, Chairman of Azerbaijani State Land and Cartography Committee Garib Mammadov told reporters on March 3, Georgia Online reports.

The committee on delimitation and demarcation of borders between Azerbaijan and Georgia has been operating since 1996.

The ancient Georgian cultural and religious monastery David Gareja is contentious and the Georgian-Azerbaijani border needs to be clarified. The monastery is divided between the two countries.
