Azerbaijan’s provocations have become a tradition prior to or following Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents meeting or other meetings in the format of Karabakh conflict resolution, Hrayr Karapetyan, member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), Chairman of Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, Armenian parliament  told Armenian News-NEWS.am. He commented on the recent ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani side in the contact line of Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces, claiming one soldier’s life and leaving one injured.

“It is the high time the international community gave tough response to Azerbaijan’s behavior,” he  emphasized. Karapetyan also stressed Baku’s provocations should be discussed during the Presidents’ trilateral meeting in Sochi.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, on the threshold of Armenian, Russian  and Azerbaijani Presidents meeting in Sochi, a 20-year-old Armenian soldier Grigor Shakhkanyan was killed in the ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijani side in the north-eastern direction of the line of contact between the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh.

On June 17, 2010 St. Petersburg hosted a trilateral meeting between the presidents of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. On June 18 at 23:30 local time, an Azerbaijani armed diversion group infiltrated the territory of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, near the village of Chailu. Four soldiers from the Karabakh side were killed, four more were wounded.
