Draft resolution of Lithuania’s parliament on Nagorno-Karabakh will negatively affect the peace process, as biased opinion of a third country hinders resolution of the conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group, said MP from Nagorno-Karabakh.

Talking to the journalists in Yerevan, head of NKR National Assembly’s committee on foreign affairs Vahram Atanesyan said he has a negative standpoint on draft resolution on Karabakh as it was drafted following the visit of Azerbaijani president to Lithuania. Atanesyan is hopeful draft bill would not be adopted by Lithuania’s parliament or would be approved after relevant amendments are made. He called for Lithuania’s unbiased stance on Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis is visiting the region and will arrive in Armenia on March 17.
