Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received on Thursday PACE Monitoring Committee Co-Rapporteurs on Armenia John Prescott and Axel Fischer and expressed confidence they will give useful advice for strengthening democracy in Armenia.

Serzh Sargsyan stressed he had an opportunity to discuss with John Prescott usefulness of cooperation with Armenia within the framework of the Council of Europe. “I am confident that we would get useful comments and advice this time too.  We are ready to listen and work jointly. We face some challenges and really want to solve these problems and highly appreciate this assistance.”

Co-Rapporteur John Prescott said during meetings with the Armenian leader they feel and see changes which have occurred since March 1 events, Armenian presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Prescott pointed out the Armenian President’s political will, adding they have reported about changes to the Assembly.
