Turkey learned lessons from Japan’s nuclear disaster, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said, TRT Russian reports.

Yildiz stressed that for this reason Turkey demanded higher security settings from Russia. According to him, the Russian side accepted the requirement.

The minister also stressed that Turkey is determined to build the nuclear power plant, pointing out that additional measures were taken in construction of the nuclear complex following Japan’s events.

He also urged citizens not to worry about this issue: “We do not want our citizens to have concerns. We do not do risky things.”
