Russia is hopeful there will be no incidents in the line of contact between Azerbaijani and Nagorno-Karabakh armed forces in the future, said representative of the Russian foreign ministry.

The sides are interested in continuation of dialogue, prevention of incidents, rejection of violence and drawing up a common formula for resolution of the conflict, said Alexander Lukashevich, Russia 24 television reports.

“We have recently intensified our work with Yerevan and Baku,” he said stressing importance of meetings between Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Sochi. He noted that reached agreement will be basis for further acceleration in talks.  

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, on March 17 a soldier of the NKR Defense Army Aharon Hayrapetyan (born in 1991) was killed in the ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijani side.

Provocation of the Azerbaijani side followed the exchange of war prisoners under the Presidents’ agreement reached in Sochi.
