YEREVAN. - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting on Tuesday with a delegation headed by Baroness Caroline Cox, a member of the British House of Lords, the Armenian presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Armenian leader stressed the importance of the delegation’s visit to Armenia. He pointed out MPs’ importance role in the development of Armenian-British relations.

President Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the British delegation’s decision to visit Nagorno-Karabakh to get acquainted with the situation, form a full idea of the causes of the conflict and Nagorno-Karabakh people’s willingness for freedom and independence.

The British delegation members stated their readiness to contribute to consolidation of bilateral relations. They qualified their meetings in Yerevan as effective and beneficial.
