International Press Institute reported 102 journalists were killed all over the globe in 2010.
The most dangerous country for representatives of press is Pakistan where 16 journalists were killed. Among dangerous states are Mexico and Honduras.
Thirty-two journalists were killed in Latin American countries, 15 – in Africa, 8 – in the Middle East and North Africa, while seven - in Europe.
The report is issued on the eve of world press freedom day marked on May 3.
