Worldcarfans published the first images of the cheapest Mercedes-Benz ever - the A-Class, aimed to compete with BMW 1 Series and Audi A3. The hatchback caught by spy cams is differs from the Concept A, presented at this year’s international motor show in Shanghai, only by presence of rear doors.

Mercedes Benz will introduce the A-Class in the US and European markets next year.

A-Class will be based on the new MFA platform. The novelty will be equipped with four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. A 2.0-liter, 204 hp petrol engine debuted at the conceptual version of the model will also be available. This engine will go in pair with two-stage CVT used on the models of A-and B-class, reports autoNews.ru.
