The Armenian side put forward proposals conflicting with the concept of the Karabakh peace process, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov stated in an interview with ANS TV.

According to him, six principles were reflected in the earlier presented statement, as well as in the “road map”. Mammadyarov stressed withdrawal of Armenian troops from the regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh was also reflected in them.

“However, this principle failed either. The discussions were of great importance to us. On the one hand, we continue negotiations to establish peace and stability in the region. It is not as if Armenia does not want it. On the other hand, Yerevan has its own stance on these issues,” Mammadyarov concluded.
