YEREVAN. - Further development of the economic cooperation between the CIS states was discussed at the 51th session of CIS Economic Council in Almaty with the participation of Secretary of the Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev.

Representatives of 11 states participated in the session, ITAR TASS reports quoting CIS spokesperson Vladimir Nikanorov.

Armenian Deputy PM, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan participated in the session as well.

The session aims to discuss innovation cooperation programs between CIS states, draft agreement on basic principles of policy on currency regulations and control in the CIS member states, and draft agreement on free trade zone.

The next session on Economic Council is scheduled for December 9 in Moscow this year.
