BAKU. – After the Azerbaijani Premiere League football match between the Neftchi and Baku teams on Friday, a fight started between them, Azerbaijan’s Musavat newspaper writes. 

Several unknown persons attacked on Baku’s player Elvin Aliyev, and beat and injured him. The police intervened, but the sides could not be separated because Elvin’s teammates came to his aid.  

Musavat also writes that, according to information it obtained, Aliyev was beaten by the bodyguards of Neftchi. 

The match had ended 1-0 for Neftchi, whose owner is Rovnag Abdullayev, President of the National Oil Company of Azerbaijan.
