YEREVAN.- Publication of WikiLeaks cables is unacceptable, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Evans told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I do not welcome publishing of confidential cables. I strongly oppose it,” he said.

However, he stressed that no one should consider these cables a falsification. These are real documents signed by him and other diplomats, Evans said.

WikiLeaks published several hundreds of cables on August 30 sent from the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan.

Evans does not consider WikiLeaks published these cables for political reasons, at least those related to Armenia.
