YEREVAN. – The four-year struggle of Armenian citizens must be considered one of the most remarkable manifestations of social consciousness and dignity, said the leader of opposition Armenian National Congress Levon Ter-Petrosyan at the rally in Yerevan Liberty Square. 

“All people are capable of one time riots but only those who show patience and determination make success. You have proved your exemplary determination throughout these four years of hardship and persecution and sooner or later the victory will come to you.

The administration did not come to the office through fair elections. They seized the power by forgery, violations and cold blooded murder of own citizens. The authorities do not even make the effort to change the strategy and overcome the social crisis and unacceptable violations of human rights,” said Ter-Petrosyan.

He reminded that in his recent speeches President Serzh Sargsyan kept repeating that Armenia will become a legal, democratic and prosperous state in 20 years.

“Leave aside the obvious lack of seriousness of such predictions, literally the president meant than in next 20 years will bring no relief to the people. Another 20 years of living on bread and water. Another 20 years of a wanderer’s life,” concluded Ter-Petrosyan.
