YEREVAN. – Death of the Apple founder Steve Jobs was a loss for each Armenian in the U.S, head of the Orange County Armenian Professional Society (OCAPS) said in an interview with Russia-based Life News.

“Jobs’ death was a great tragedy for us. We are mourning with the entire state,” said representative of the Armenian organization.

Head of the Apple store in Yerevan Slavik Zakharyan also expressed sincere condolence in the interview with Life News. Zakharyan said that they failed to get to the funeral because of visa bureaucracy. “Unfortunately, only a few have such an opportunity. I am confident that many Armenians of U.S. will bring flowers to his grave,” he said.

It is not a secret that Jobs said in his biography, which will be released on October 24 this year, that his adoptive mother was of Armenian descent. She survived the 1915 Armenian Genocide.
