YEREVAN. – The number of active mobiles has decreased by 680,000 and reached 3.27 million users, member of the Committee regulating public service of Armenia Samvel Arabajyan said at a press conference on Wednesday and added that the number clarified after changes in the counting methodology.

According to him, the three month active period is taken as counting base for the three mobile operators of Armenia. As a result, VivaCell subscribers’ decreased by 450,000, Orange Armenia users decreased by 230,000 users, while ArmenTel did not change its statistics, as it used the same old methodology.

Thus, VivaCell has more than 2 million subscribers, ArmenTel has 750,000 and Orange Armenia has 520,000. The operators are required to place number on their subscribers in the official sites.
