YEREVAN. - Darpas village inhabitant Martin Abrahamyan who killed his wife and father on the night of November 2 suffered from mental disorder, head of Darpas village administration Samvel Avetyan informed the reporter of Armenian News-NEWS.am and added that the disorder was not clearly defined.

Avetyan disclosed some facts about the Abrahamyans’ family. In particular, there have been arguments on jealousy ground in their home. On Tuesday the Abrahamyans were arguing again. Police officers visited them and took written note from Martin Abrahamyan which stated that he will not disturb his wife again. However, according to rumors, 34-year-old Martin Abrahamyan did not sleep the whole night and at around 7 o’clock in the morning he first killed his 29-year-old wife Armine Shirinyan with a shoe knife and then murdered his 60-year-old father Vahan Abrahamyan. After that he ran away.

Abrahamyan has not been registered in any psycho-neurological clinic.
