As is known, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a surprise visit to Tavush Province of Armenia today, opposition MP Garnik Danielyan wrote on Facebook Monday.

"A meeting was held in the Voskepar community, with the attendance by the provincial governor, the head of the enlarged Noyemberyan community, and the administrative heads of several villages.

Let’s record that the mass media representatives were not in attendance at the mentioned meeting.

(…).

Phones and other things were collected from the hands of people participating in the meeting. It was held in a heated atmosphere.

Nikol Pashinyan said that the 4 villages [in question in Tavush Province] should be handed over to Azerbaijan immediately. Otherwise, there will be a war, Azerbaijan will take [them] by force, whereas we cannot resist.

The participants of the meeting asked a question: will the interstate road also pass to Azerbaijan with the handing over of these villages? Where will the Azerbaijanis end up as a result? And is it guaranteed by that that there will be no war [anymore]?

Pashinyan replied that he cannot guarantee and can only hope that there will be no war and will try to ensure that those roads will be safe. Also, he informed that Turkey is also with Azerbaijan and there is no other way, we have to give [those villages to Azerbaijan].

Pashinyan did not specify specific timeframes, but according to our information, the purpose of the visit was to speed up the actions.

(…) the villagers asked rather sharp questions, trying to understand where, in the end, the Azerbaijanis will stop. Pashinyan answered again in his special manipulative style that they will work to build alternative roads and so on," Danielyan added, in particular.
