Zhoghovurd newspaper of the republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: The authorities of Armenia are unable to show solidarity with and communicate emotions to a friendly country even in the event of a national disaster and mourning.

On the occasion of the nationwide day of mourning declared in Russia in connection with the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall [concert hall] of [the] Moscow [region], a mourning memorial book was opened at the Russian Embassy in the RA since Monday.

A number of Armenia’s public figures, politicians, opposition figures, [ordinary] citizens, and MPs of the National Assembly had written a note there and sent their condolences.

Zhoghovurd daily observed that Armenia’s authorities did not go to the RF embassy, did not extend condolences regarding the innocent Russian victims even in the event of a disaster.

Among the officials, only RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan and [majority] CC [i.e. Civil Contract parliamentary faction’s] Russian MP Aleksey Sandikov went to the RF embassy on Monday and wrote a note of condolence regarding the terrorist attack in Moscow on March 22.

And where were the other CC members? Were they busy? Or had [PM Nikol] Pashinyan forbidden them to go to the RF embassy that day?

It is also noteworthy that the CC members of the interparliamentary commission on cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation [also] had showed indifference [in this regard].
